A special enrollment period has opened up at HealthCare.gov to give people who need health insurance an opportunity to get covered through the Affordable Care Act marketplace. If you, or someone you know, doesn’t have coverage, check out your options during this special enrollment period from February 15 through May 15, 2021.

Help Our Brothers and Sisters in Asheville

A tent community under an overpass at the foot of Lexington Avenue in Asheville was demolished by the state Department of Transportation. Some of the people who camped there lost everything. We can send help to an agency that’s been in the streets all along, distributing tents, sleeping bags, warm clothes and medical supplies. BeLoved Asheville’s COVID Response Team can collect, purchase and distribute these items quicker than anyone else, so we’re asking your help to provide immediate assistance.

Stop the Bluffs at Riverbend in Woodfin

Our friends at the Sierra Club of Western North Carolina (WENOCA Group) have issued a call for action on the proposed Bluffs at Riverbend development in Woodfin. You can help fight a major development planned for 92 acres of mature, intact forest adjacent to Richmond Hill Park and the French Broad River.
