NCUC Coal Ash Rate Hike Public Hearing

Duke Energy is asking the NC Utilities Commission (NCUC) for permission to raise our residential electric rates over 16% in order to pay for their coal ash mess. 

Organizations including MountainTrue, the Sierra Club, Clean Water for NC, Community Roots, Pisgah Legal Services and Children First/CIS are all joining together to tell the NC Utilities Commission to make Duke pay for their own mistakes.
