WNC Votes Coalition: Monthly Planning Meeting

April 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The WNC Votes Nonpartisan Voter Outreach Coalition will meet online to share upcoming outreach activities from each of the active teams — Canvassing, Tabling, and Hispanic/Latino Outreach — with a special focus on volunteer recruitment for the Coalition’s next monthly canvass on Saturday, April 20, and upcoming tabling opportunities lined up from the Tabling Team.

If you are already working on one of the three Voter Outreach Teams, be sure to register for the full-group session on the 18th at the WNC Votes website here.

If you aren’t yet working on one of the core planning teams but are interested in getting involved, the coalition would love to have you join. Helping with voter outreach is one of the most important things any of us can do in 2024, and you don’t need any special training or experience.  All you need is a willingness to learn and a commitment to helping increase turnout and drive engagement in this critical election year.

The full coalition gathers virtually once a month to share updates and plan for upcoming voter outreach opportunities.

WNC Votes Nonpartisan Voter Outreach Coalition is a group of community organizations and individuals working together to increase turnout in 2024, with a mission to engage, educate and empower voters who are often left out and left behind. Current partners include the YWCA of Asheville, the Poor People’s Campaign-NC, Just Economics of WNC, and Asheville Food & Beverage United (AFBU), as well as Indivisible AVL. The coalition is currently organized in three working teams: Canvassing, Tabling, and Hispanic/Latino Outreach. For more information or to join one of the planning teams, email brenda@indivisibleavl.org.
