WNC Sierra Club: Protecting the Mountain Lands We Love

Jay Leutze, a leading voice for state and federal conservation funding for public lands, will speak about land conservation from our Appalachian backyard to the global effort to protect 30% of the earth’s land and water by 2030 at the next Sierra Club WENOCA Group program on Thursday, September 2nd, at 7 pm.

Jay is senior board advisor of the land trust Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy (SAHC), and the national spokesman for the Land & Water Conservation Fund Coalition. Jay wrote Stand Up that Mountain, the true story of saving the Roan Mountain area from a gravel mine.
