WNC Sierra Club: Creating & Maintaining Our Beautiful Hiking Trails
June 2 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
There is always magic in the vistas of the southern Blue Ridge. Many of those spectacular views have been made possible by the Carolina Mountain Club (CMC). CMC maintains 420 miles of trails in WNC including the Appalachian, Mountains to Sea, Art Loeb, Mt. Pisgah trails, and many others.
Join the WNC Sierra Club (WENOCA) on Thursday, June 2nd, at 7 pm, to learn what it takes to maintain the trails, who does the work, and what motivates people to volunteer.
Tom Weaver, CMC President, and Paul Curtin, CMC Appalachian Trail Supervisor, will take you to many of WNC’s natural treasures while you never leave your living room. But dust off your boots, because you will want to get out on the trails after this presentation!
The program is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. Register here.
After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. For more information, contact WENOCA Chair Judy Mattox at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (828) 683-2176.
