WNC Sierra Club: All Creatures Great and Small: An Introduction to Biodiversity

November 3 @ 7:00 pm

How many living things call Earth their home? Scientists have been identifying species since the famous naturalist Carl Linnaeus published his Systema Naturae in 1735. Thus far we know there are about 8.7 million species, but we also know there are many more to be discovered. We also know that human activities are putting biodiversity at risk.

Please join the WNC Sierra Club on Thursday, November 3rd, at 7 pm, to hear Rachel Muir, science advisor for WENOCA, introduce this important topic and discuss how we can take steps to preserve the diversity of the living world.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information about joining on Zoom. For more information, contact WENOCA Chair Judy Mattox at judymattox15@gmail.com, or 828-683-2176.
