International Days of Peace & Nonviolence
September 21 - September 23
Join the Walk for Peace on Thursday, September 21 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. The Walk will start at the corner of Haywood Road and Louisiana Avenue in West Asheville, to demonstrate commitment to a just, peaceful and nonviolent world.
On Saturday, September 23, from 2 to 4 pm, there’ll be a gathering at the Land of the Sky UCC, 15 Overbrook Place, Asheville, for announcements of the 2023 Peacemakers of the Year and new Peace Honorees, as well as celebrating the continuing efforts of promoting peace and nonviolence locally and around the world.
