Transylvania Candlelight March CANCELLED

To celebrate Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and accomplishments, and to recommit to the work that remains, the Transylvania NAACP will host a candlelight march on January 17th in the heart of Brevard.
Participants will gather at the Bethel A Church, 290 Oakdale St, at 5:30 pm and proceed to the historic Transylvania County Courthouse. Traffic safety and security will be provided by Brevard Law Enforcement officers and NAACP parade marshals.
At the courthouse, there will be a program with speeches from members of the community and singing.
Everyone is invited to join. Please bring electric candles if you have them, dress warmly, observe COVID protocols and wear masks.
