Statewide Day of Outrage

July 1, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Indivisible AVL has joined with other WNC organizations to host a People’s Power Coalition event on Saturday, July 1, at 5 pm, in downtown Asheville, in coordination with other events in 13 cities and towns across the state. The NC People’s Power Coalition is calling on our state lawmakers to invest in our children, fund healthcare, keep bans off our bodies, uproot racism, create an economy for all, defend freedom and democracy, and protect our future with environmental justice. Community leaders and local activists will speak briefly about our concerns in each of these areas, followed by a speakout opportunity and next-step actions.

You can see the full seven-point People’s Agenda here.

This special event is being held in partnership with several WNC organizations, including:

  • Asheville DSA
  • Asheville Food & Beverage Workers
  • Carolina Jews for Justice
  • Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church
  • Indivisible Asheville/WNC
  • PSL Carolinas
  • Racial Justice Coalition
  • Southern Vision Alliance
  • Southern Workers Assembly
  • Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry
