Join Pisgah Legal’s 11th annual Justice Forum featuring Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, on Thursday, October 7th, at 7 pm. You’ll hear her first hand account of exposing the Flint water crisis and how she continues to advocate for health and racial equity.
The event is free but registration is required.
Dr. Mona Hanna-Attish is recognized globally as a health and social justice advocate. A pediatrician, scientist, activist and author, Dr. Hanna-Attisha was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World and recognized as one of USA Today’s Women of the Century for her role in uncovering the Flint water crisis and leading recovery efforts, and most recently, received the 2020 Fries Prize for Improving Health. In her personal and inspiring speeches, she motivates audiences to speak out against injustice. Read more about her here.
Pisgah Legal hosts the Justice Forum each year to call for justice and to generate honest conversation about pressing local and national issues. This year’s Forum focuses on the intersection of health and justice especially in addressing social determinants of health, or conditions in the places where people live, learn, work, and play that affect a wide range of health risks and outcomes.
