Our VOICE: A People’s History of Asians in America

Race and gender-based discrimination against Asians in America date to the 19th century, regardless of the significant contributions Asians have made to our society.

If you’d like to learn more about the history of Asians in America and the impact made by racialized-sexual violence on the Asian community, please join Our Voice for The People’s History of Asians in America Workshop.

Below are the upcoming dates for the workshop. Anyone interested is welcome to attend and the workshop is free.

Where: West Asheville Public Library

    • When: September 23, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
    • When: September 25, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Each workshop will cover the same material. Masks are required.
The workshops will be held indoors pending the status of COVID-19 regulations.
