Neighborhood Tree Keeper Training

Asheville GreenWorks Neighborhood Tree Keeper Training, April 29th through May 1st, is a 2-day virtual workshop series with one in-person, socially distant learning day, designed to teach you everything you need to know to care for the urban trees in your community.

Asheville Greenworks is looking for applicants who are at least 18 years old and live in Asheville or the surrounding area. After completing the workshops, participants will join the cohort of Neighborhood Tree Keepers.

Participants MUST complete all workshops in order to join the Neighborhood Tree Keeper program.

April 29:
12-1:15: Benefits of an Urban Forest – Scott Alba (Board Certified Master Arborist)
1-2:15: Trees 101 – Scott Alba (Board Certified Master Arborist)

April 30:
12-1:15: Tree Planting and Care – Eric Bradford (AGW Director of Operations)
1:15-2:15: Tree Keeper Roles & Responsibilities – Kris Medic (Board Certified Master Arborist)

May 1:
In-person learning day
12-12:30 – Meet and Greet
12:30-2 – Nursery Tour & Training
