The Voter Participation Center (an America Votes partner) is testing a program to mail absentee ballot request forms to voters in North Carolina. Given that we are likely to still be dealing with Covid-19 in the fall, we think it’s critical to figure out how we can best support people to vote by mail and we want to find out if calling/texting folks around the time they receive the absentee ballot request forms increases the likelihood that they will fill them out.

We need volunteers from the NC Wins/Indivisible network to help us call 5,000 voters over the next couple of weeks. We’ll provide scripts, training, and all the info you need to talk with voters – these will be easy calls!

We are planning 2 phone banks currently, on Wednesday, June 10 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm and Monday, June 15 from 6:30-8:30. If there is interest we can also add additional phone banks (or you can call at a different time, but the dialer will work best if you have at least 3-4 people calling with you).
