Equality NC: Virtual Advocacy Day 2021

March 30

On this Virtual Advocacy Day, Equality NC supporters and members will come together (virtually) to advocate for state-level rights and protections for LGBTQ North Carolinians. There are three ways to get involved:

Share your story with Elected officials

The most effective way to change hearts and minds is by sharing your story as an LGBTQ person or ally — especially if it involves discrimination that you or a loved one have faced. Equality NC will provide you with the tools to virtually connect with elected officials on March 30 and share your story after going through a brief training with our Communications team.

Lunch and Learn on Conversion Therapy

Join Equality NC for a conversation with licensed therapists about why conversion therapy is a dangerous and discredited practice that needs to be outlawed. Sign up here to stay up-to-date.

Speed Dating with our Elected Officials

Want some one-on-one time with our pro-equality elected officials? You’re in luck! Sign up here for some face time with pro-equality legislators on March 30.

To participate in any of these ways, first complete the sign-up form and Equality NC will follow up with all the details that you will need. Sign up at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSetNxHI-fC7BfpnpXfzCdI9RbnUHeSWklud4MkMkcscmRsjPg/viewform

If you have any additional questions, please email jessica@equalitync.org or you can call Jessica Hulick, Director of Civic Engagement and Politics at 919-205-3915.
