US Congressional Candidates Town Hall

September 27 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us for a moderated Town Hall, featuring candidates for US House Districts 10 and ll. We’ll be focusing on the issues facing WNC voters.

We had hoped this event would be a debate, so the voters would have a chance to hear both candidates, and fully understand the differences in political philosophys. But neither of the incumbent candidates, Mark Meadows (R) District 11, or Patrick McHenry (R) District 10, accepted our invitation. We reached out to both candidates inviting them to participate. Patrick McHenry’s Gastonia office said they would check and get back with us. We attempted to follow up, with both the office, and his campaign manager, but our calls were never returned.

Mark Meadows office told us that Rep. Meadows would only participate in one debate, and that debate would be at Western Carolina University in October. We have been unable to confirm that event, and at this date, Phillip Price (D) hasn’t recieved notice of the event.

We’ll do our best to give a fair summary of both Representatives track record on the topics We’ve invited all four candidates for District 10 and District 11 to a moderated town hall forum focused on the issues facing WNC voters.

David Wilson-Brown (D-10)
