Building The Case For Asheville/Buncombe Reparations

The Racial Justice Coalition and Warren Wilson College invite you to “Building the Case for Asheville/Buncombe Reparations,” a very special virtual panel of Asheville/Buncombe Community Reparations Commission leaders, moderated by Executive Director Rob Thomas, on Tuesday, September 5, from 11:30 am-1 pm. This is an opportunity to introduce and familiarize members of our community with the realities of the negative impacts of the historical oppression of Black folks in our region. It is also an opportunity to see the foundations that have been built for the positive, restorative, and liberatory impact possible through government-funded and community-based reparations.
