November 19 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

You’re invited to an informative presentation on the history of Black Asheville on Sunday November 19, from 2 to 3:30 pm, at Congregation Beth HaTephila. The presenters, Phyllis Utley and Betts Conti, will explore the narratives about Black and Indigenous People of Color in Western North Carolina, challenge narratives about Asheville’s Founding Fathers, examine how our own unique identities fit into new narratives in our mountain community and discuss the impact of urban renewal on Asheville’s Black community.

No RSVP is required. The presentation is open to all.
