Democracy NC Accepting New Internship Applications for Summer 2021

Democracy NC is accepting applications for their 22nd annual student internship program, Democracy Summer! This year's interns will work remotely for 9 weeks and earn a stipend while building relationships and receiving training that will help them start a career in social and political change. Applications are due by 7 pm, Monday, March 15th.

RJC Committee Watcher Project

The Racial Justice Coalition (RJC) is launching a Committee Watcher Project. The Committee Watcher Team will attend, observe, and report back about the content of committee meetings. This vital information can help the RJC understand what policies are being created in Asheville and their implications for racial equity. This will inform our advocacy efforts in holding City and County officials responsible. Committee Watchers receive an initial training session and ongoing support from our Committee Watcher Coordinators.
