Sign a New Year’s Resolution for Your Rep!

Help us kick off the New Year and the new Congress by signing a New Year’s Resolution for your rep!
The first bill in the new House—H.R.1: Strengthening our Democracy—includes Voter Empowerment and Access Reforms this country badly needs, especially here in North Carolina. So we’re signing individual New Year’s Resolution Requests urging our reps to support this important legislation.
If you’re in District 10, click here to sign your New Year’s Resolutions for Patrick McHenry –or if you’re in District 11, sign your Resolutions for Mark Meadows–and bring your signed Resolutions Letters to the “Whose House? Our House!” 2019 kickoff celebration on January 3, 5:30-7:00 pm, at The Block Off Biltmore in downtown Asheville.
If you’d rather sign online—or if you can’t make it to the Kickoff on the 3rd or the delivery-day Rally on the 4th—you can sign your New Year’s Resolution online for McHenry (District 10) or for Meadows (District 11). Either way—hard copy or online—we’ll deliver it for you, and get started on a bold new 2019!
Then join us at a Rally the next day as we deliver all of the signed Resolutions to McHenry’s office in Black Mountain (160 Midland Avenue) and Meadows’s office in Hendersonville (200 N. Grove Street).
“Whose House? Our House!” is part of a coordinated nationwide Day of Action with participating Indivisible groups all over the country, marking the beginning of the first 100 days of the new Congress. Our action here in WNC is to let Meadows and McHenry know our New Year’s Resolutions for them is to support Democracy Reform legislation in H.R.1, especially:
- Independent redistricting
- Restoration of the Voting Rights Act
- Automatic same-day voter registration, and
- Secure elections systems
