2020 “Let’s All Vote!” Campaign: A Year in Review
What a year it’s been. A year of challenge, hardship, anxiety – and, for many, a year of sadness and loss. Through it all, hundreds of Indivisible AVL volunteers and donors displayed an amazing resiliency and determination to continue the voter outreach and engagement campaign we launched at the end of 2019.
Our 2020 “Let’s All Vote!” campaign was a remarkable success, especially in light of the fact that most of it was carried out in the midst of a pandemic. With the support of over 60 individual donors and three grants, 162 volunteers reached over 4,400 progressive voters in Buncombe County with voter education and registration, encouraging sporadic voters in our community to cast their vote and reach out to others.
We also continued the ongoing work of holding our elected representatives accountable and fighting for the things we believe in, through advocacy, press conferences, and public gatherings, even during these long days of mask-wearing and social distancing.
While we look forward to a safer and saner 2021, we also look back on 2020 with pride and gratitude for all we managed to accomplish together. If we needed proof, this past year has given it to us in abundance: When we work together, we truly can create the world we dream of.
Thank you.
