Reparations Are Due! Show Your Support, Take the Pledge

Indivisible AVL enthusiastically supports the healing work of the Racial Justice Coalition in our community, including their major new campaign called “Reparations Are Due.”

The Asheville City Council and the Buncombe County Commission empowered the Community Reparations Commission (CRC) “to make short, medium, and long-term recommendations that will make significant progress toward repairing the damage caused by public and private systemic racism.” To prepare to effectively advocate for action on those recommendations when the CRC releases them the RJC is asking individuals to pledge their support NOW.
