Champion of the RBG Act
On March 1, champions of reproductive freedom in the General Assembly, introduced the RBG Act (House Bill 188/Senate Bill 167), a bill that would remove many of the existing barriers to accessing an abortion in North Carolina. Our state has the fourth-highest number of restrictions in the country. These restrictions serve no medical purpose and instead interfere in personal and private decisions about whether and when to have a child.
One of those champions was our own Buncombe County Representative Susan C. Fisher.
Please send a special thank you to Susan.Fisher@ncleg.gov for co-sponsoring this important bill, or call Susan at her office in Raleigh at 919-715-2013, or mail her a letter to 7 Maple Ridge Ln, Asheville, NC 28806.
